The seventh task in the 30 Day Film Challenge taken from #FilmTwitter is:
7. A film that you will never get tired of
I think every serious cinephile has that “list” of go-to movies that never grow old, always entertain and will always deliver. It’s nice to go into a movie knowing the outcome and never being disappointed. That’s quite a rare thing to accomplish if you love film. I regularly find myself being let-down by a movie whether that be because I was just too hyped for it for whatever reason, or I listened to the hype from other critics and the movie fell short of expectations.

There are a few movies that make that list for me but out of all of them, I’d have to say that The Matrix is my go-to movie of all time. What’s not to like? It’s a love story at its core, even though it’s also about hacking, technology and computers. It’s a moving story about self-discovery, finding out who you really are and becoming stronger as a result. It’s a movie about a group of people overcoming the oppression of the machines, so it’s a movie about hope as well. Plus Keanu Reeves, I mean, hey, what more do you need?
