  1. I LOVED the first season of The Alienist. I haven’t gotten around to Season 2 yet, but I did read the book that it’s based off of, can’t remember the name right now, but it was fantastic. Hoping to get to the show soon!

    • Yeah it’s pretty amazing and it looks like it hasn’t been renewed or cancelled either so it loolks like they only wanted to make two seasons – do you know if there are only two books in the series?

      • I thought there was just two, but I wasn’t sure so I googled it–there are actually four books: The Alienist, The Angel of Darkness, Surrender New York, and The Alienist at Armageddon. There’s a fifth forthcoming called The Strange Case of Sarah X. So lots of Alienist! The first two were written in the early nineties, but the latter two are more recent, probably because of the popularity of the TV show. I read the first book way back when it came out and loved it, and then Angel of Darkness a year or two ago. Good stuff.
